Mech cadets is a popular series on Netflix, but here’s a little known fact, it started as a comic. Turns out the comic is REALLY good, and you didn’t hear it from me but maybe even better than the show! Here we’ll cover it all, the past, present, and future of Mech cadets.
Comic version
The first arc: Mech Cadet Yu

The first comic arc though sharing minute similarities with the series is very different from it, this is due to the drastic variations in plot, and character personalities. An example would be one of the main characters, Olivetti, who is featured in the comic, but not in the Netflix series. The comics are like looking a the same story, but from a different angle which sheds more light on its complex story. The comics includes plot twists, and conflict inside of conflict, inside of conflict…you get the point.
The sequel to Mech Cadet YU: Command and Control

The sequel to the Mech Cadet YU arc is Mech Cadet YU: Command and Control. This sequel is extremely similar to the series in plot, and characters in the series are featured in this storyline.
The Netflix Series
The Netflix series adds different elements and stakes to the fandom. It digitized it and brought it to a bigger audience. The characters personalities are close to those of the comics, however there are changes in the side characters as some are added and some entirely disappear. Characters like Ava did not exist before , and Chief Max’s rival was not featured in the comic but appears in the series.
The Finale
Both the Netflix and comic version are stunning and capture the attention of reader and watchers alike. So whether you’re sitting down to watch the show, or read the comic, consider trying BOTH! Tell us what you think about the each of them. Whatablog out!
