INTRO
Drawing websites that are completely free, and easy to work with are rare for beginners in art. Kleki is just what you need. I started art and searched for a website that was easy to use and with no cost. I found Kleki , it is extremely easy and free to use. It’s proven it’s worth by helping me draw this stupendous picture at the top of this page. The tools were easy to understand and use! When I went searching for free platforms some of them had me confused with so many options . I didn’t know what was going on! With Kleki I used the right tools, and made my drawing awesome!
This is a quick overview of the benefits of this artistic website! I used many layers and references, to bring this to life! A reference is a picture or drawing, you use to copy your drawing after. Layers are “…..They are like stacked sheets of transparent paper.” a quote from clip studio! Simply put, layers help separate the building blocks of your drawing. They may not be handy at first, but trust me, you’ll need them!
In other words, layers help you effectively organize your art! Kleki allows me to save in different file formats. Which means I can easily download my work too! It’s uses a manual download, so you have to do it yourself (REMEMBER TO SAVE, THE HEADACHES I HAVE OVER THIS ARE UNBELIEVABLE).

WHAT IS KLEKI?
If you’re wondering what Kleki is, it’s a drawing tool online that is free and easy to use for beginners.(Like me) .
It’s frustrating when lines come out quick and rash in online art platforms. Kleki has a stabilizer it keeps lines straight and flowing. Kleki has a variety of colors, allowing you to smear your art all over with color.
Examples for how easy it is to navigate Kleki is….
- The shapes tool allows me to effortless make shapes by sizing and choosing them.
- The layers allow me to organize my work.
- Ads do NOT pop up to distract me.
- The layout has pictures to show you what each tool does.
- The brushes properties are easy to change with a slider.
In whole Kleki is a great resource allowing for a lot of flexibility, as well bring out your style!
By making the controls simple and not putting a plethora of brushes in your face, Kleki is the best drawing app for me by far!
MY EXPERIENCE
It took a long time. From starting to draw using the stabilizer( A stabilizer is a tool that “automatically corrects free-handed lines into neat lines.” I took that from Ibis Paint) and creating the scroll(drawing) in my artwork above , Kleki came in use. I used it to make a drawing I drew too small, bigger.
I also used Kleki’s layer to color without erasing or messing up the outlines of my drawings. The filler tool on Kleki helped me to quickly color in spaces. The text tool helped to easily insert words into my drawings!
Below is the animation I made.

I’m so glad that I made this! It helped me finish it fast, not spending hours trying to figure out how to use the platform. It’s kid-friendly and not overwhelming! Kleki is one of my favorite online art tools, it has started me off on online drawing! Kleki is amazing!
